President & CEO
Christopher Banks is the current President and CEO of the Autism Society of America. Banks has a comprehensive background of serving the nonprofit community. He has worked in a wide variety of organizations including medical centers, community hospitals, assisted living communities, secondary and higher education institutions, national parks, human service organizations and religious communities. He has a successful record of significantly increasing fundraising support, measurably improving revenue strategies, and dramatically transforming culture, diversity, and inclusion. He pivoted the national organization to be a support enterprise for the affiliates, individuals, and families at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. He is ensuring that the Society’s strategic efforts support its mission, vision, and values. Chris has an MBA in Finance from Manhattan College, and his MS and BA degrees from The University of Scranton. A native of Hazlet, NJ, Chris has spent the better part of the last 25 years in New York Metropolitan area, and has two adult children, Patrick and Quinn. He currently lives in Rockville, MD.
