The Autism Society of America is proud to continue our Coronavirus Information Series by discussing the reality of psychiatric crises in our loved ones who may not be able to verbalize their feelings, including how to spot and prevent psychiatric crises during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 16, Autism Society CEO Chris Banks sat down wit her. Bennett Leventhal, Professor of Psychiatry and Medical Director of the UCSF Center for Autism Spectrum and Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the University of California San Francisco, to discuss how to bring up the reality of COVID-19 to loved ones with autism, what to do when regular services are not available, and how to manage feelings of crisis in our loved ones when they occur.

You can view this Facebook Live on Facebook HERE, and learn more about the Autism Society’s Coronavirus Information Series webpage, which is updated every week.
